Coming soon. This project is supporting a new reformer pilates studio as it prepares to open its doors. With a concept built around both instructor-led and guided classes in a considered environment, creating a space that felt distinctive, functional and carefully designed was central to the brief.
Working closely with the client, we helped shape an interior that supports the way reformer pilates is taught and experienced. The reformer layout was planned to allow instructors to move freely between machines while giving each client enough space to work without feeling crowded. Arched mirror bays along the studio walls reinforce the rhythm of the layout and add depth to the room, while sculptural tree details bring warmth and character to the walls.
The ceiling treatment is a defining feature of the scheme, a deep textured canopy finished in a rich dark tone with a continuous red LED strip running the perimeter that sets the mood and energy of the space. Track lighting was positioned to wash the reformer floor evenly without creating glare during class.
Storage joinery and planting boxes sit at the perimeter, keeping equipment accessible and the studio floor clear, while introducing a natural element that softens the boldness of the overall palette.
